Two young men (Jon Cryer, Rick Stear) who have been friends since early childhood decide to go on a trip to find a third friend (Rafael Baez) who has long since disappeared. Stories they have heard indicate that the friend has been seen in an apparently rambling, incoherent state at Coney Island. Their trip leads them to a number of adventures involving the otherworld-like life...。赵捷和罗麦相识已久，在经历过一次导致少年意外死亡的车祸之后，二人逐渐产生罅隙。事后，罗麦去了西藏，却全然未知等待他的是一场不测风云。罗麦走后，赵捷也踏入这段象征涅槃与救赎的莲花之旅，一直在路上的他，始终在寻找着一个模糊的身影。。影片讲述历史上的唐朝高僧玄奘历时17年，不畏艰难险阻，前往天竺取经的传奇故事。大唐贞观盛世，年轻的玄奘法师（黄晓明 饰）为求佛法真谛冒死偷渡出境，一路上遭遇千难万阻，天灾人祸，却也深得民间疾苦。官兵围堵、徒弟背叛、埋身沙海、断水绝粮，玄奘法师一心求法，最终抵达印度，在印度弘扬善念静心修佛，等到从无遮大会辩论成功回国之时，已经是年逾五十的老人了。。
