根据真实事件改编，讲述了苏联军官Alexander Pechersky的英雄事迹。故事发生在索比堡，它作为波兰4大集中营之一，是一个死亡集中营。而Alexander Pechersky却做到了一件不可能的事情：他在三周的时间，组织了一次被囚人员的反抗行动且成功逃离了大批人员。虽然有人在途中被击倒，剩下来的生者纷纷加入了反法西斯的游击队中去。。小女孩芳芳因病残疾腿不能动，跟村里的老树奶奶学剪纸，她们家为她治病花了不少钱，生活贫困，连村里的新房都住不上。芳芳焦急不安。一次到镇上赶集，她把自己的剪纸摆在市场，恰逢几个外国游客看准花四百美金买了几十幅。 村里不少人一看剪花能赚钱就纷纷开剪，结果县文化馆领导来村征集剪纸，除芳芳的外其他都没看准，村长对大伙说芳芳是用她的命在剪花，你们的心里剪花占多少分量！在省残疾儿童救助中心的救助下，芳芳又站了起来，村长领着大伙问芳芳有什么要求，芳芳哭着说她要上学。。Saturday Night Live aired its eighth season during the 1982–1983 season on NBC.
