1927年对共产党来说是血雨腥风的一年。在不到半年的时间内，中共中央两次被迫迁移。第一次是从上海迁往武汉，第二次则是从武汉迁回上海。两次迁移，都是因为猝不及防地遭到过去的盟友国民党的突然袭击。中共武装反蒋后把中央领导机关秘密建立在上海。首先是因为中共没有稳定的根据地，只能选择在群众基础较好的大上海，其次是因为上海有租界，租界区华洋杂居、政出多门，各种势力矛盾重重，且租界区不查户口，交通便利。在租界区，国民党的警察、宪兵和特务不能随便执行公务，更不能开枪、捕人。租界巡捕房捉到共产党，国民党当局只能通过法律程序进行引渡。国中之国的这种特性正好可以加以利用，寻找掩护的职业和场所，设立党的机关，进行秘密活动。在这种错综复杂，暗流涌动的大历史背景下，如何有效地保卫处于秘密状态下的首脑机关，成为中共中央一切工作重中之重。于是，由周恩来首倡，在原中央军委特务工作处的基础上，筹建了中央特科这个政治保卫机构。。A movie about a good-for-nothing stuntman called Mike Gaucher who can't do one single job without something going wrong.
